SUMMER SPLASH 2020
by The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation
Jamie Onofrio Franceschini
Jamie was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome in June 2014, right before her 4th birthday. Over the past 6 years she has had 14 relapses that required high dose steroids. Last week Jamie started a 3 month round of cyclophasphamide, a chemotherapy drug, in the hopes that it will reset her immune system and put her in long term remission. When dealing with a disease with no known cure, keeping a positive attitude is so important. In six years of dealing with this disease we have had our ups and downs, but the Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation has always been able to put a smile on Jamie's face!
The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting those diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, their families and the search for a cure.
The Summer Splash Campaign aims to raise awareness and funds to help those diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome - a serious and rare auto-immune disease affecting the kidneys. Our goal is to have social media flooding with videos or pictures of participants doing their best cannonball, dive or bellyflop, tagging The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation. When you post this video/photo, challenge a friend, family member, coach, teacher, etc. to participate as well, you help raise awareness and funds for this important cause. We encourage those who participate to make a donation of $1, $5, or any amount to go towards the Foundation's efforts to support those diagnosed, and their families, but donations are optional! Anyone can participate by following us, posting a picture and/or considering a donation to help us achieve our goal of 100 new followers and $5,000 for this fight this summer! Have a blast, and go make a SPLASH!
